Branding [A&M College - Tongji University Shanghai]

The college has 2 strong souls, arts and media. It needs one coherent image, but open and flexible to the diverse characteristics of each area. It also need to be open to future area changements and addings.
 
The two perfect shape, circle and triange, express the two souls, arts and media: the combination of these two elements in the logo defines the college image; the movement and transformation of one element in the other one and viceversa expresses the strong relation between the two areas.
 
The combination of the two elements in various patterns (possibilities are infinite) provides the flexibility in expression and interpretation that each college area needs to its own uniqueness.
 
The role of light as a metaphoric concept (clearness, truth, smartness, etc.) and the role of the spot light, both metaphoric (center of everyone's attention on) and real (the stage), are expressed in a 'true physics way' to convey real master of knowledge, concrete feasibility, reliability: the colors are the one of the rainbow or the prismatic separation of light.
Logos and visual image, promotion tools, way finding, etc. Current ongoing projects on the sound quality of a brand, cross-cultural way finding system implementations and  brand through performing arts.
I collaborated at the intere project, designed by Avril Accolla with the help of students and the support of avrildesign.
