hands-on experiments with light
As a designer I'm used to playing with whitespace and composition, going over tons of would-be-perfect-if-only images, cropping scaling. What I don't get to do in a daily basis, though is to ask the model in the picture to have a different facial expression, or to move her hand just so... I also don't get to phisically set my lights in a dark studio. Experimenting with a couple of lights, an old SLR pentax and a model made me think a lot more about the balance between light and dark. , I had the invaluable experience of directing models and of setting my own light.
