Memory Matters was an event held at the British Library in partnership with UCL

It was an interactive event that explored how the brain constructs representations of our world allowing us to travel mentally through time and space.

We produced the visuals for the marketing, programme and signage.

The client wanted the visuals to be fun as well as informative. We created the “brain plus post-it notes” as a visceral and literal metaphor for memory. We also asked the performers to supply “memory” ideas for the post-it notes – which we put into the design.

The event sold out and received positive reviews and feedback.
The event, coordinated by Professor Nicky Clayton FRS, Mr Clive Wilkins and Dr Hugo Spiers.

A special thanks to Katie Howe for her encouragement.
