About Vipps by DNB
DNB has launched Vipps in Norway – simple person to person payments via registered Visa or MasterCard.
With the new Vipps-app two persons can transfer money to each other via the Visa or MasterCard registered in the app. No matter which Norwegian bank you have, you can use Vipps. All you need is a Norwegian personal number, Norwegian phone number and a Norwegian Visa or MasterCard and then the phone number for the person you are transferring money to.
Automatic receipt for both the person sending and receiving money
When the money has been transferred both the person sending and receiving money will see a receipt. If you have signed up and registered your card number in the Vipps app you will see a receipt in the app. If you receive money before having registered in the app you will receive a text message with a receipt and information to download the app and register within 10 days. If you don’t register within 10 days the money will return to sender.
The Vipps app also has a chat function so you can send messages when transferring money.
