When I started working as a web UI/UX design contractor at Simpson Strong-Tie Company, my first large project was a total redesign — from developing the site map and flat mock-ups through development and production — of the investor-facing website for their parent company, Simpson Manufacturing. This new website featured an entirely new section, created to inform the public about the company’s commitment to sustainability, as well as enhanced governance navigation with icons representing aspects of corporate governance. Each year the home page carousel slides are updated to match spreads in the annual report. If you look carefully, you might see my cameo in the 2019 report, in a photo taken at a Women in Leadership Habitat for Humanity Build that year.
