Above: Elizabeth Taylor died the year of this festival in 2011. She was thought to be somewaht of a gay icon in the community.  This not only pays homage Liz, but also elevates the importance of the festival within the LGBTQI community and beyond.

Above: The graphic is in the shape of the awards given to films given by the audience and a selections of judges during the film festival. The variety of smaller awards alludes to confetti and parties, a huge part of the festival. The colors were chosen to be bright and diverse just like the selections of films shown during the ten day festival.

Above: The '11 for the 2011 year of the festival is made up of tetris pieces fitting together, representing the varying films and people interconnected to make something bigger than just one piece. A metaphor for the ideals of the film festival in developing it's community of film makers and viewers.

Above: Playing off the buttons of any visula recording device, such as used in movie making, record, stop and play. I slightly changed the meaning of each symbol as it relates to the film festival experience. First you record, meaning "create" your movie. Then you stop to "watch" your and /or other people's movies. Then you "play" which means go the the festivals parties.

Above: This is another take on the record, stop, play buttons, but with varying animal patterns as if entering into a jungle of diverse mystery and wonder that is the film festival.

Above: The textile pattern is abstracted film negatives that are intertwined and overlapping, building upon one another to make all new shapes and colors. The film festival community is much like this when intermingling, bringing new ideas and projects together.
