Yves Klein goes Verbeke Foundation

Yves Klein was not only a spiritual, but a poetic artist in the ‘Nouveau Realism’. His most famous work are definitely the 200 identical monochrome canvasses in royal blue. Yves was supposedly staring at the blue sky which made him think it was his task as an artist to master the blue depths of the universe. Depth & the purity of silence of nature are the founding layers for his IKB (International Klein Blue) with which he wanted to conquer the world. By partnering with the Verbeke Foundation it might just
be possible.

De Verbeke Foundation is a private art-site that opened in 2007 by collectors Geert & Carla Verbeke-Lens. Culture, nature & ecology all come together at De Verbeke Foundation. It’s also one of the biggest private art initatitives for modern art in Europe. Because of the Foundation being located nowhere near anything and it having a very private, nature surrounded space, it fits perfectly with Yves Klein’s work.
