Bhangra is the type of party music that makes you want to dance while celebrating the harvest. The folk genre was founded
two centuries ago in the Punjab-area. Punjab is a part of North India that stretches to Pakistan. The catchy rhythm of the dhol,
a drum instrument played with a stick and a twig is very typical for Bhangra. Swell as the the tomb, a snare based instrument.

Bhangra dancers dance to the fast rhythm of the music, which makes the dance seem a lot more complex than it actually is.
Just like the music, the dancers’ outfits are very remarkable and colourful. Those elements, color and dance, were my main focal points for this collectable box on the genre.
