Minxes Box Set : Random House Publications

This project required that I design three separate book covers with a similar theme for simultaneous publication at Random House. The overarching theme of the books : minxes.

I chose to work in silhouette, to convey the theme of minxes and cultural taboos associated with them and the men that pursue them. The figures beg the question : Is this a girl or woman? The stark silhouettes are juxtaposed against soft, pastel, girly colors to create a visual expression of the tensions in these three works.
