This was a self-directed project for college where students were tasked to create an animated short. This cartoon comedy caper how even the loftiest of schemes can go awry.
Poster for Cat's Cradle, influenced by architecture blueprints.
The line-up, making sure each character is visually distinct.
Turnabouts and model sheets so I made sure the characters' designs stayed consistant.
I am a firm believer that strong silhouettes lead to good character design. This was from my sketchbook where I put this idea to the test.
First animatic. Skected on blank cards and scanned in, cleaned up and cobbled together on Photoshop and Premiere Pro.
Second animatic, using rushes. Made in Toom Boom Studio and edited togeter in Premiere Pro.
This video was exhibited in 'Aspect' in LSAD, an exhibition about narritave animated shorts.
