Far East Plaza
Your Local Trendsetter
Far East Plaza is first founded in 1983 by Far East Organization. Far East Plaza is considered as the biggest tourist shopping centre in South East Asia. It also known as the first shopping center on Singapore mainland to have a musical fountain, and also the first residential development offering services. Over the past few years, Far East Plaza has been a center for youth culture in Singapore, containing many clothing outlets within the shopping center as well as numerous tattoo parlors are present, mostly located on the upper floors.

Based on our findings from research, Far East Plaza offers cheap and affordable items, especially for most teenagers. And also, this mall is located in Orchard area where is considered as famous shopping area in Singapore. Far East Plaza was once known for being a youth oriented shopping mall. It was regarded as a nostalgic place for those who have visited to shop for local brands and enjoy the foods on the top floor. However, as time flies by, this mall currently is seen as an outdated mall to the current people.

Objectives:
1. To do the market research to compare the USP and/or ESP of Far East Plaza and Bugis Street, their similarities and differences.
2. To do a user testing on Far East Plaza to see which part can be improved, eg. directories.
3. To redesign all the promotional kits on Far East Plaza such as their website, their current logo, and campaign posters.
