The first workshop of Island Challenges (IWIC'14) aims to highlight the islands issues about solid waste management as its central theme. So I joined their team and designed the conference posters, the banner and the meetings' programme flier as a volunteer of Sails-for-Science foundation.

We created a sculpture out of trash we found dumped in the forest. This action metaphorically enclosures the meaning of managing our waste in an alternative way. The sculpture was photographed and used for design purposes.

The conference was organised by the Sails-for-Science foundation and the University of Aegean.
