'In Neutral' - Men's Trend

This is a display I did for a Men's fashion trend, called 'In Neutral', for Macy's in February 2015. I incorporated lots of neutral tones for the mannequins and bust form and handcrafted the major props in the display. I pulled looks from brands such as Tommy Hilfiger, Tasso Elba, Calvin Klein and Lauren Ralph Lauren.

For the platform, I took apart shipping pallets with a crowbar, painted and stained some of the wood pieces, laid them across the platform to get the best possible layout and pattern, handsawed the boards that were too long and glued everything down.

For the boards that are hanging, I used a staple gun and hot glue to attach them to each other. Once everything was dry and set, I drilled holes along the top, ran monofilament through each hole and suspended the entire thing from the ceiling - using drywall studs and screws.

For the clothesline, I simply took an old tree branch, spray painted it a white/cream color and inserted eyehook screws on the respective ends so I could run monofilament through each of them, as well. I then attached wooden clothespins across the front side by drilling screws into the side of the pin that was to lay flesh on the branch
