Skopje, I love you is the second volume of the jewellery collection designed by Dafina Dzeparoska and Nita Mucha inspired by the city’s symbols that are doomed to be lost and forgotten as part of the new governmental politics of erasing history and faking a new one. This project is an obvious critique of what the city is becoming. The goals of this project are to raise the citizen’s awareness and to encourage creative actions in the rapidly changing environment. The final product, of course, is intended to beautify the buyers.
"Skopje suffered through a terrible disaster, but we shall build it again. Employing the creative force of its aspiring children, the beautiful city will sprout once again and it will become a symbol of the spirit’s perpetual rise above darkness."
