The Museum of Art and Photography (MAP) is being set up by Tasveer Foundation and houses 6 genres of archives: Modern &
Contemporary Art, Textiles, Craft & Design, Photography, Popular Culture and Folk and Tribal Art. The project demands us to get inspired by this eclectic collection and re-imagine these works of art into contemporary products. I looked at Andreas Volwahsen who is an architectural historian. Photographs demonstrate his aspirations for a deeper understanding of ancient
Indian architecture, but also reveal strong formal traces of German modernist photography. The consistent use of black and
white mute’s distraction and the balanced square format compositions emphasise the core geometry and symmetry.
