The Siren, 2015, Giclée print 59cm x 84cm.
Those who drown do not wave, nor do they struggle to be saved.

Sailors tell of a strange music heard only by those beneath the waves. As they sank into the darkness, a beautiful song roses to find them. Those who survive tell a cautionary tale that the source of the voice pulled them down.

When they are alone, though, they remember those depths not with fear but with regret.

The siren is not there to seduce you or to drown you, but to comfort you and embrace you in those final, cold moments.

A lullaby through the waves as they wash into where the breath has been released.
