Live musical performance in the Queen City...
Very few things stir the soul and inspire the mind as much as music. Live performance takes that inspiration to an even higher level, adding to virtuosity a theatrical presence and the visual joy of communicating an aural art form in real time. For me this joy transcends musical genres and it makes little difference if I am shooting Rock, Country, Jazz or Hip-hop as long as the integrity of the performer is true and strong. These images shot over the past three years in Cincinnati show performers of both great renown as well as many unknowns who hope that the future might one day bring them the same fame and fortune. I will leave it to the viewers to recognize the stars in this gallery as it is not necessarily the fame of the performer that makes for a good music shot for me.
