Init 15: Product Development Conference

Tenable Network Security has an annual product development conference. This was the first one that included all products with front-end and back-end developers, Q&A Engineers, and Software and Research Engineers. The conference is based on Atlassian's Ship It concept.

I was tasked with naming and branding the conference. I led the initiative with a team brainstorm session, and then the logo design. Tenable is a growing company with product at the forefront. Branding Init was smart for a company focused on making great products and on recruiting top talent.

The name, Init, came out of the idea of initializing something. Init is the first process in booting a computer and starting a new repository with git. It is the beginning of a great idea. It is exactly what the product development conference is about. Starting an innovative idea that makes the product or workflow better for Tenable.
