Chuvashia is a region in the very heart of Russia. It is known for its ancient and unique culture. With a group of designers from Cheboksary and Moscow we designed a touristic logo for Chuvashia to promote its name all over Russia and worldwide.

The idea of a logo was taken from the mostly significant part of Chuvash visual culture — the national embroidery, which takes its roots from the Middle Ages and contains the encrypted worldview of Chuvashs.

In Chuvash embroidery each and every element has its meaning. For the logo we have taken the one that is easy to understand and familiar to everyone in the world — a heart. In Chuvash embroidery this symbol also stands for ‘fidelity’, ‘unity’ and ‘love’.

Everyone can use the logo and express himself representing it in any possible way.
