Professional workshop combined sound (field recordings) with typography. The goal was for each team to create a typographic arrangement of a 96 measure / 120 bpm composition. The final designs were displayed at the Center for Visual Art in Denver in July 2015, capped by a closing reception that featured jazz improv artists interpreting each design into a new sonic composition.
As a part of the exhibition, individual tyographic compositions were included from all participants.
Original noise recording, created by the team for the workshop, which was then translated into visual design. For live musician improvisational interpretation, see here: https://www.instagram.com/p/5gD4edqnON/
