In my experience, I’ve found that food is a powerful tool for connecting people across cultures, from understanding its origin and methods of production to sharing stories that individuals may associate with particular foods. Equally as fascinating from a humble home cooked meal to a finer restaurant experience, there are so many stories behind the food we consume. Connecting strong sensory experience and memory, these stories can aid in a deeper appreciation for the land that bears our food and help broaden our understanding of each other’s experiences.
