Stationary is a very simple object designed by Florian Dussopt Design Studio. I worked alongside Florian as a development assistant. My role was to aid in the design of the object, material selection and manufacturing the modules using different techniques: Laser cutting and water-jet cutting.

Originally made to organise pens on the desk, its shape welcomes to be misused as a paper-weight, a rocking toy, a laptop feet, or any other unexpected function.

Stationary is assembled using different material offcuts like Perspex, Aluminium or Wood to create new combinations.
The name Stationary (staying in the same place) is word play with its homophone, stationery.
