Creating my stalactites in 3ds max, and then taking them to zbrush, to finish them up.
uv unwrapped stalactite
After laying down the uv's i import my 3d object into Zbrush, where i start to add in more detail
Once im happy with the level of detail, i create a diffuse map and normal map in z brush
That process is done to each stalactite, so after zbrush i import them to 3ds  max
Besides stalactites i also modeled in rocks, modeled in 3ds max, and the rocks went through the same process as the stalactites
So after 3ds max i went into Zbrush and added in more detail
So for creating the finer detail of my rocks i downloaded serveral alpha brushes for zbrush   http://pixologic.com/zbrush/downloadcenter/alpha/

Scene so far have yet to add in rocks, and more stalactites
