Dinoscovery Exhibit

The brief was simple.
There are 13 dinosaur animatronics and 13,000 square metres of space. Do something nice that will bring in money.

While there were many dinosaur exhibits out there, and a few passing ones in KL, none were making use of technology to let the kids interact with the exhibit. And dare we say, none were as fun and immersive as the Dinoscovery.

So what's Dinoscovery?
Dinoscovery is an interactive and educational dinosaur exhibit for kids located in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It can be described as a treasure hunt on steroid. And dinosaurs.
For this project, we started from scratch. We came up with the plot, the name, the logo and the activities; we produced every one of our original exhibits and merchandise; and we collaborated with a bunch of experts ranging from RFID specialists to model makers and even programmers.
The Plot. The Visitor Experience. The What-Happens-In-There.
Kids, or Junior Paleontologists, sit through a short briefing when suddenly a time portal opens for them to go back millions of years and into the Mesozoic Era. Their mission: to collect dinosaur samples through their RFID wristbands to bring back to the lab, and they must do it before the time warp closes. The kids will get up close to the dinosaurs in their quest, crossing lava fields and climbing a steep vertical wall. Once they've "returned to the present day" they'll hand over their findings to the guides who will reward them with their certificate of completion.
