What’s the difference between a murderer and a soldier? Just the uniform. The murderer kills for lust, greed, etc. and the soldier murders because someone orders him to. Whereas the murderer is punished by law, the soldier is awarded more medals and honour, the more he kills. The soldier’s uniform is there to take away his identity and replace this with the group’s identity, creating the illusion that he is part of a greater cause.
