Having broached the idea
of authorship for the longest
time, we were finally given the opportunity to put our views into practice through Mr Iskandar Jalil’s seminal monograph — Images of My Pottery Travels.
of authorship for the longest
time, we were finally given the opportunity to put our views into practice through Mr Iskandar Jalil’s seminal monograph — Images of My Pottery Travels.
Spanning a hefty 286 pages, the book is an intimate study of the man behind the clay, providing a window into his psyche and unwearying vitality. Taking 10 months to complete, we first conceptualised and planned the content before working with acclaimed photographer Ernest Goh and writer Linda Chee to mould the book into its finished form.
Images of My Pottery Travels received a Certificate of Typographic Excellence from the Annual of the Type Directors Club, Typography 33, a bronze award for Book Design, Gong Show Awards 2012, and Typographic Excellence at the Type Directors' Club, New York in 2011.
