It was a pretty open brief with two tasks:

We quickly felt that we should work with wood as a base for our design, and we wanted a dark background for the bottles and the package.
This was the moodboard by Louise Pappa that we used. Aged wood, darkness with light accentuating the focus, cloudy skies and a rather competent, luxurious feeling.
A rendering of some 5cl bottles of Läckö Slotts Aquavit, a mild schnapps spiced with dill seeds, goes deliciously well with crayfish and other seafoods.
I made a second rendering of the package, because the first one used in the presentation were too bright.I had to correct the color a bit in photoshop as well.

Another close up, the lid standing and an other box to the right.
Erik Viklund took a bunch of stunning pictures of the bottles wich we used for the broschure.
The first two pages of the folder Michael Cheung made for our box. He picked the text straight from an existing folder, but he completely re-designed it to fit the design of our box, and to make a fitting context for Erik Viklunds beautiful pictures of the different bottles. I also had to edit the tracking and hyphenation in InDesign to make the text more pleasing for the eye.
Page three and four, don't feel sore.
Page five and six, you'll get your fix.
Seven and eight, don't berate.
The last page, with the combination guide to see what food goes with wich bottle, notice that "Bäska droppar" only works with meatballs and as a (very bitter) digestif, SKÅL!
Poster, made by Michael Cheung. Package rendered by me and the bottles and the wood used for the background photogrphed by Erik Viklund.
