Alpha Oméga
A rap mixtape by Montreal artist, NV. In the rap world, a mixtape is a free promotional album--a way to show off your skills and attract new fans. Alpha Oméga includes themes of self-motivation and escaping the mundane, with lyrics set to the rhythmic sounds of American producers like araabMUZIK.
The goal was to raise awareness for the project and to show the type of rap music Montreal is capable of. My task was to create a cover and graphics for social media, all within a limited budget.
The client already had a basic idea of what they wanted: a depiction of a city covered in snow. And from our discussions, I understood that they wanted something old school.
Inspired by the music’s energy and the project’s name, I decided to depict the end of the world--a place where mankind is no more and all that’s left is our ruins.
Alpha Oméga marks NV’s musical debut, released in November 2015. It is available for download on the official website.
