Spread is an independent quarterly zine focusing on Art, Design and Culture.
Started by Fashion stylist and director Sam Ranger, Photographer Ben Parks and myself as a way of collating our inspirations, peers and fresh talent we felt should be shared.

The ethos and core values of Spread always maintains a defined direction, fusing art, design, fashion, documentary, music and curiosities, changing themes as we move forward yet always maintaining a high level of content which makes our publication something to be cherished and collected.

Our concept for the first issue is skateboarding, its subculture and influences.
We curated our fashion story as a twist on iconic logo tees from brands of past and present, complimenting the documentational and graphic stories from Simon Landrien, Ben Rayner and behind the scenes of the award winning movie All This Mayhem.

Our music section features Rat Boy and Japanese Acid Punk band Bo-Ningen, whose routes sit firmly in skate culture. Our featured artist, illustrator Will Broome, provided an interesting contradiction, with his colourful and satirical characters, which exhibited at our launch exhibition in Shoreditch.

Issue 01 of Spread Magazine is out now for £7.00, limited to 300 copies the "Skate Issue" comes sealed in a protective matt envelope with stickers. To purchase, or for distribution and submission enquiries please visit us online.
