Within the course of the Technologies of Design III, the teacher requested the development of an object, to body scale, directed to children between 3 an 6 years old in order to be inserted in the contemporary context of Portuguese families.

The prototype had to be built of three main materials and three different techniques, namely, the shaped wood, molded curved steel and fiberglass. The final development of the project, was a evolutionary cycle that would be able to follow the growth of children. We had in mind special details to our project, among them we highlight the simple design, its versatility form and function not only to present the possibility of an extendible handlebar to fit the different heights children but also to be 2x1,

this means, both may take the form of a “balancé” or an evolutionary cycle without ever being required to take off any piece.
