Queens In Jeans: Tales of Empowerment in Photos

As a requirement for graduation, I worked on a book entitled “Queens In Jeans: Tales of Empowerment in Photos”, which is about advocating women empowerment to the youth with making use of fashion, photography and creativity.

In order to achieve the proposed project, I shot a series of photographs with different story lines that express women empowerment that is relatable to the project's target market. These photographs were then accompanied with short write-ups in order to express the story line better.

The book was designed in a minimalist but creative manner in order to get the attention of it's young target market. Pastel colors in the shade of pink were highly used in the whole book.

As for the photos, it adapts the look and feel of fashion photography combined with street photography. The direction of the photos wants to imitate the candidness of street photography but still emanate the glamour of fashion photography.
