Yotaphone Experiments

CHALLENGE:
YotaPhone was distributed mostly through e-commerce and here we faced a big challenge: nobody would buy the new product without experiencing it.
So our task was to make users try YotaPhone and get familiar with its innovational features.
 
IDEA:
We brought users an opportunity to try YotaPhone in a whole new way and gave them a chance to test the smartphone with a robotic hand online. The hand was created on 3D printer and people could control it like their own one. We launched 3 experiments where users could test key smarphone features: second ink display, messages visualization and simple interaction between two screens.
 
RESULTS:
As a result more than half a million users got the chance to try Yotaphone, it's like 17,5 kilometres queue line in front of the shop in real life. We also brought users opportunity to try the phone before purchase and gave them a meaningful reason to buy it online.
