For WWZ Zug AG we developed an electricity cost calculator that enables SMEs to sign a contract in just four steps. The liberalization of the electricity market has opened up new marketing opportunities for grid operators. With competing electricity suppliers in the market, customers can switch between operators at their leisure. For customers, a key factor for decision-making is to compare the costs.

 

WWZ provides electricity for the population and the industry of the canton of Zug as well as for neighbouring areas belonging to other cantons. The company is Switzerland’s second-largest cable network operator. 

New customers can now create a profile, entering their projected electricity consumption. From this information an overview of the electricity costs for the next four years is generated. In this overview, the customer can individually adjust the desired power source and the duration of the contract. In a next step, the contract is generated in PDF format.

 

Bargain hunters have access to detailed information about the development of the electricity price and may even activate an e-mail reminder should it reach a certain mark.

 

The customer is being guided through the whole process in an intuitive, comprehensible and swift manner. An example for this is the immediate success or error messages, which enable a successful registration process.
