This font began as a stencil font which was created in TSI (Typography Special Interest) during my final year at Central Saint Martins (2015).

Pontiff is latin for bridges and as one of the main features of the font is the angled bridges. Pontiff is a condensed stencil font.
When computerising the font, it developed further. The serifs were removed, the 'g' developed further and punctuation, numbers and ligatures were also added to the font.

To advertise the font I created a booklet which contained some of the development of the font along with how it could be put into use.
