Drawing inspiration from my dissertation of the differentiation of gendered toys and their marketing concepts, I chose to create a pop-up book that uses clever language and scenarios that every child would be able to relate to.
Each page basically aims to provide some guidance about gender to children as they are growing up but obviously in a positive and exciting way.
Gender stereotyping among young children is a major issue and that’s why I chose to create this interesting but educational book for children essentially explaining that you don’t always have to do everything you are ‘meant to do’ or assumed you should do but you should do what you think is right (your choice).
