The Challenge

Shortly after Plain English was formed in 2010 we were appointed by D+ lingerie specialists, Panache. They asked us to refresh, develop and update their Superbra, Cleo, Masquerade, Atlantis and Swimwear brands with new photography, brochures and trade advertising.

The Strategy

Panache is an established name and a strong competitor in the D+ market. However sometimes it was not regarded as such. Our task was to get consumers and the trade to reappraise what the Panache brands had to offer.

For us, personality was everything. We identified exactly what each of the brands stood for and came up with strong and evocative ideas and photography to communicate it.

The Results

Our first season of brochures received the best feedback from the trade Panache had ever had. The work has already started to move the company back into the territory they want to occupy - and eventually dominate - and has also led to a number of other opportunities. We’re now about to start shooting our third season.
