A 10-page magazine spread based on a Ted talk by Paola Antonelli-- Treat Design As Art. About this Ted talk, Antonelli spreads her appreciation for design and how it has been treated throught the years in the United States and in Italy. There was a moment in her talk where she illustrates to her audience many design concepts to make the world better-- whether it be a goofy giant bullet-proof vest that covers the entire body or a comfy scarf for autistic children to rub on so they won't feel alone. With that being said, I was able to come up with a design that related specifically to kids with autism. It has been stated that an autistic child may see an object so complex that they will only be able to point out shapes instead of the entirety of the picture, which is why I ended each section off with shapes-- leading into a new colored chapter.
