Purdeys packaging design

The brief was to repackage "Purdeys Rejuvenate" and extend its range to include one new product- "Purdeys Natural Energy"

When designing the rejuvenate bottle I have tried to incorporate some aspects of designs through what ingredients are in the bottle, such as grapes, peach, apple leaves and vines. The vines I felt are a big part of the design because this is how they all become one and which keeps the fruit growing and becoming stronger, such as the message Purdeys are trying to get across to their buyers. “With the world increasingly looking for products that work in harmony with our bodies, it’s time for Purdey’s, in its own way, to share its secret more broadly and to create a packaging which enables this to happen, without losing the curiosity of the brand.” When adding the vines to the bottle I have placed the Purdeys in the centre of a silhouette and what looks like a heart, I wanted to make the heart shape discreet. Adding a silhouette brings the drink to life and gives a more personal look and feel towards the bottle. Not only would I like the public to buy my bottle, I would like the public to buy the bottle because of the design and how it stands out on a shelf amongst other health drinks.

I have chosen to use gold text because I think this will still stick to the target audience in which Purdeys aim to please. The gold text looks modern, sophisticated and makes this drink look special and pleasing to the eye. The gold text also sits very well on the black backdrop of the bottle. Before designing the Purdeys range Rejuvenate and Natural Energy I looked at what health drinks are already out there and how I can aim for mine to look better and be more individual.

Purdey’s Natural Energy contains:
A delicious blend of green and white tea, fruit juice and herbs, naturally high in anti-oxidants and vitamins.

I have incorporated the fruit juices into the colours of the lightning bolts, I have used lighting bolts because, a single bolt of lightning carries a relatively large amount of energy and I also felt lighting bolts worked well as a design for an energy drink and again this is something new and after looking for inspiration and doing research there were no energy drinks with lighting bolts involved. I wanted a theme for both the Rejuvenate and Natural Energy so I have kept the bottle black and used the silhouette, I have placed the silhouette on the opposite side of the bottle, when the Rejuvenate and Natural Energy sit together they become one and almost link.

I have given the natural energy silver text for Purdeys because I also want them to have their own personal design and buyers know the difference also by the colour of the text, they can refer to them. I also wanted to keep the sophistication towards the brand in both bottles.

I have created a poster for Purdeys and this will be placed within all areas. I wanted my poster to link as much as possible with the two Purdeys bottles I have created Rejuvenate and Natural Energy. I want people walking by to notice this and know what the message is and what this poster represents.

The message within this poster is two drinks, one family, the family being Purdeys, this is why I have chosen to use one colour for the text "Purdeys" and I have placed this in what looks like a heart.
