This campaign was rolled out across the north-west of England in the run up to the Women’s Euro football tournament in the summer of 2005. Football’s always been known as the beautiful game so it stands to reason that the women’s version must be “A more beautiful” one. Women’s football is said to be more expansive and skillful but less aggressive than men’s and this was represented by the flowing illustrative style and use of white space, with just a hint a glamour suggested in the sexy red headline typography. A 6, 48 and 96 sheet campaign was supported by a series of boomerang postcards, soccer magazine ad’s and give away poster’s, each introducing the public to another one of English football’s finest.
