Leila* typeface family has been designed based on my sister’s handwriting, and by studying her handwritten texts, I tried to recreate the fast moves of her hand, changing in strokes thickness, and the pen’s moves, so the final work wouldn’t seem unreal. In addition, different ligatures and alternative letters won’t let the text look like a series of repetitive forms, and make it looks kind of spontaneous.
Designing of Leila started in 2008, and its regular weight was completed in 2014. Bold and light weights were designed and ready to use in 2016 and Thin, Extra bold and Black weights were designed in 2020.

خانواده‌ی فونت لیلا بر پایه‌ی دست‌خط خواهرم طراحی شد و من تلاش کردم تا با بررسی و الگوبرداری از جزوه‌ها و نوشته‌هایش، حرکت سریع دست، تغییرات ضخامت خط و حرکت‌های خودکار را بازنمایی کنم تا نوشته مصنوعی به‌نظر نرسد. هم‌چنین امکان استفاده از مرکبات و حروف جای‌گزین متنوع باعث جلوگیری از تکرار زیاد فرم‌ها می‌شود و حس بداهگی نوشتن را القا می‌کند.
طراحی لیلا سال ۱۳۸۷ آغاز شد و وزن رگولار آن در سال ۱۳۹۳ پایان یافت، لیلای لایت و بولد در سال ۹۵ طراحی و اجرا شدند. در سال ۹۹ سه وزن ثین، اکسترابولد و بلک به خانواده‌ی این تایپ‌فیس اضافه شد
