This drawing exercise became one of my favorite projects.  I wanted to explore pen and ink sketching because I was soley a pencil and eraser guy. Fur seemed like a forgiving subject for permenant lines so I chose animals as my subject matter. I was also interested in texture, so I chose clothing to explore various surfaces. From two small thumbnail sketches, Nicely Dressed Animals began. Each new portrait is larger and more ambitious than the last, I don't know when this project will end, it's too much fun!

I now use them as a thank you card or self promotional leave-behind.
