Smart Advertisement Platform (Microsoft Kinect Sensor)

Kinect (Xbox sensor) is a kind of new medium. Kinect’s interface not only integrate features of mainstream medium interface, it’s also interactive, real time, personalized, etc. Traditional posters and light boxes could not satisfy both advertisers and consumers’ increasingly demands. Creative ideas and user experience are chased these days. With booming digital technology development, media communication spring up in a new digital era. Touch screen and sensing technology provide a novel opportunity for interactive interface field, and invention of Kinect bring it into a higher and magic level. However, problems spring up due to the birth of Kinect. It is difficult to measure height and length position of machine and inappropriate graphic design also make situation worse.

The thesis will introduce function and feature of Kinect. The creative spot of this thesis focus on Ergonomics, Kensei Engineering and visual communication and other elements, which optimize the interface between Kinect and users. The thesis would combine technology of Kinect machine with several courses on advertisement produce, make this new technique more flexible and skillful in modern advertising media.

Industrial Design in Donghua University (B.E)

The project goal is to re-define "advertisment" based on modern platform "Kinect". Have you ever doubt about traditional advertisment ? What is advertsiment? Do advertisment have any other function except broadcast? I choose this to be my graduation project for exploring potential levels that beyond advertisement.

Every design needs a logically and tight process structure. The process contains several steps. After preparing the project, user background research, market and environment analysis, ergonomic design analysis,Kansei engineering and arragement/color scheme.
