Award-winning visual identity for MarketMix 2010
This was the first year the Puget Sound American Marketing Association (PSAMA) and Seattle Direct Marketing Association (SDMA) joined forces to produce a single conference for area marketing professionals, and both organizations wanted a look they could be proud of. 

The concept centered around the “mix” of the two groups with a mid-century vibe that celebrated cocktail culture. This was extended from the elaborate direct mail invitation to the website landing page and follow-up emails and onsite collateral. All the elements working together helped support the credibility of the event. 
When tasked with creating a unique and memorable mail piece on a very short deadline, I took initiative to bring the client, printer, bindery specialist and assembly team (all separate parties) into a meeting so we could troubleshoot production issues, build schedule buy-in, and establish a working rapport.  

Ticket sales goals were met ahead of schedule, and people held onto their coasters long afterward. The design also won a MarCom gold award for direct mail marketing, which was icing on the cake.
