:: Gandy's Dairy ::
Milk so good that some people go hunting and never make it back. Produced by Scott Johnson
For this Gandy's campaign, we brought in improv comedians to concept, write, and record the spots in the studio. While it made the sessions crazy fun, editing sometimes was chaotic. This is the best one of the bunch. Produced by Scott Johnson
A radio spot for the "What's In Your Fridge?" campaign. During the few years on Gandy's, any spot that lampooned West Texan lifestyle and culture was ceremoniously killed. Maybe it was the years of trust or something, but eventually they let this one slip by, complete with a wife named Loretta and the drawling "tell you what."
:: Meadow Gold Dairy ::
Sometimes it's all about casting. Meadow Gold Idaho needed a holiday spot and I quickly wrote the classic Mrs. Claus script hitting all the key selling points. To give it a twist, we gave Mrs. Claus the Mrs. Doubtfire treatment. Voice artist Christopher Robin Miller was so good, his ad-lib at the end got the attention of someone in Idaho's government, who didn't like the connotation that state workers are lazy. Which state, the north pole? Of course the dairy pulled it and we re-edited. Boo. Here's the original.
:: CBH HOMES ::
Not really a radio spot per say. Basically, CBH Homes wanted something to both entertain and market to callers while they waited on hold. Taking the concept of scanning through a radio dial, we brought in all the flavor of radio and lampooned the genres one might find. This on-hold piece was a big hit with home buyers. The real hero here is John Van Houdt with Sound Logic who not only brought my crazy ADD script to life, he composed the various music and edited the entire piece.
