Bathtub Elle
For the Elle Decor 2011 contest
The form of the bathtub came out by the inspiration of the harmonious forms of stone pebbles, their unique form by their outlines.
Exact form came from taking the inside of the shape of stone pebbles, adapting the proportions and measures of man anthropometry. Form folows the rule of golden cut, making a harmony as seen in nature.
Unique form of the shell of inside stone pebble, in which we lie down gives us a sense of security and softness, adding value to the ritual of taking a bath that is more than just a matter of hygiene.
Bath is made of the sanitary acrylic hardened polyurethane.
Bathtub can be detached independently in space, with frames that naturally follows the form of the inside shell and it goes all the way around the tub, although it can be placed in a rectangular
box, and placed along the single, or two or three walls.
Dimensions are the 170 x 75 x 32 cm (66.93 x 29.53 x 12.6 inch)
Bathtub Elle also saves the amount of water that is used, by its shallow bottom that lies next to the body by leaving minimum of space for extra unnecessarily water.
