Hyper Island Student Project.

A pacifier concept for toddlers to be used in hospitals that is able to measure glucose levels through their saliva. This aimed to remove the need to prick a toddler for blood when it arrives at the ER.

We created an arduino prototype using a light sensor. Employing a constant iterative process, we mimicked the light sensor readings to match glucose level readings. This ensured we had a working prototype to use during user testing with medical staff, whether we personally had the technology to create this or not.

This project was in collaboration with Philips Design.
