Two Kings and Two Labyrinths

The Two Kings and The Two LabyrinthsAn adaptation
Assignment:
Starting with a written story students were asked to change the way the viewer/audience receives Borges' "The Two Kings and The Two Labyrinths".

This project was shown in a large dark room. At the beginning viewers were asked to chose whether they wanted to listen to the text read in English, by moving to the left, Portuguese, by moving to the right, or to stay in the center and read the text in Spanish. Although both spoken text are audible at the same time, to understand one or the other the viewer must concentrate. Coupled with intensified concentration and being engulfed in darkness the hope was the viewer entered into the story completely, leaving day to day thoughts behind for a few moments.
