Created as the first in a series of designs based on the book Alice in Wonderland.
I recently lost a very close friend and this was her favorite story. I wanted to find a way to capture the 20+ years of friendship we had in an illustration that would be fun for others to view. This is sort of a travel postcard.

Custom type created for the project.
It's a variant of the font Hipster, tweaked into a bubblegum style logo. I wanted something that looked good fat and casual and handwritten. This font ended up working well.
Character variants.
Because I know some of you like looking at the early "sketches" I'm showing my character sheet.
You can see how I work out the look of the character in a solid black before adding in the details, tweaking the stance and elements that make his personality.
