Over the years I have designed promotional materials for Michael Scheurer, a fine artist best known for his complex collages rich with art historical, textual and design references. His artwork is held in private collections around the world.
Signature Scheurer Tote
As part of artist Michael Scheurer's retrospective in April 2017, the Weston Art Gallery featured a pop-up shop with limited edition items commemorating his exhibition. This custom 16 x 16" canvas tote bag is printed full color, full bleed. I designed the bag and sourced the printer/manufacturer.
Tote Bag Hang Tag
This small 2 x 4.25" hang tag appeared on the Signature Scheurer tote bag as part of the item's merchandising. One side features a brief artist biography and information about the bag (left). The reverse features an excerpt of one of the artist's collages (center). Multiple versions of the reverse were created to make the hang tags feel more random and handmade. Artistamps
These unique paper stamps were created to commemorate Michael Scheurer's retrospective at the Weston Art Gallery. The 8.5 x 11" postage stamp-like sheets are pinhole perforated with moisture-activated (lick and stick) adhesive on the reverse. Each 1.25" x 1.625" stamp depicts a sampling of the artist's work. I selected the art, designed the pieces, sourced the obscure stamp paper manufacturer and worked closely with the printer. The stamps were so popular that they sold out during the run of the exhibition.

Michael Scheurer Website
This website houses an extensive online archive of the artist's work, including didactic information for each piece. The site also includes the artist's resume, biography, bibliography, contact information, merchandise and exhibition news. I built the entire site from scratch via Wix and secured the site URL.
ANTKS Card
Michael Scheurer is also a connoisseur and expert in ancient and modern art and objects such as African tribal sculpture, Venetian glass trade beads, exotic woven carpets, and antique textiles. This two-sided 4 x 6" card below promotes his rare finds "ANTKS" at High Street in Cincinnati. I shot the photography and designed the card.
California and Inky Series Postcard
Weeks before his exhibition opened at the Carnegie Arts Center, this slick oversized postcard (below, 6 x 8.75") announcing Michael Scheurer's new work was sent to collectors to generate interest and excitement in the show.
