They wanted a green logo mixed with black and white elements. Something simple and as much as clean and legible as possible. The webiste had to follow the same parameters, so this is how it went.
I have to recognise that the logo has resemblances to the Really Simple Syndication icon and the Spotify logo for example, but it was the fastest solution to evocate, the "media" concept on a typography based logo and they agreed with that.
